ABOUT INFRARED SAUNAS
An infrared sauna is a relaxing & rejuvenating experience. It is a type of sauna that uses light to create heat. It is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna — “far” describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air around you, which in turn warms your body. An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you.
The lower temperature of an infrared sauna, in comparison to a traditional sauna, makes the experience much more comfortable and clients can enjoy their sessions for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, 1-7 x per week. Infrared saunas, and heat therapies, mimic cardiovascular exercise in the body which includes reactions such as increased heart rate & sweating.

The Mayo Clinic states several studies have looked at using infrared saunas in the treatment of chronic health problems, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, headache, type 2 diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, and found some evidence of benefit. Larger and more-rigorous studies are needed to confirm these results. Infrared saunas have increased benefits in comparison to traditional saunas due to the method of heating your body at a deeper level. They are safe to use and have minimal reports of adverse effects.
